“It was a pleasure to host Canarias Basketball Academy and coach Rob Orellana,” said Miami Prep CEO/Founder Art “Pilin” Alvarez. “They have a great program over there and it was great to see our kids play up to that level of competition for the past two days.”

The victory marked the end of the early part of the schedule for Miami Prep, which saw them win 27 of 30 games including a win over Broward College on the road. The Tornadoes have the most wins of any prep school in state of Florida and will have another 20-30 games after the holidays to showcase their talents to all college coaches. In the crowd on Saturday include a coach from Western Kentucky.

“It has been a great start to the season,” Alvarez added. “It is great to see the kids play and gel so well and play against such tough competition in front of the amount of coaches we had this week.”
